I Have Found Him

The days of being lost are forever in my past
Why? Because I have found Him
Of talking bad about others, have I always seen the last
Why? Because I have found Him

No more do I crouch with a sad rebellion
Why? Because I have found Him
I know of His love and I feel His compassion
Why? Because I have found Him

I am honored and brave when I shout loud His name
Why? Because I have found Him
There is no one I’ll point to, there is no one I'll blame
Why? Because I have found Him

I’m glad when some say they can see that I’ve changed
Why? Because I have found Him
I’m glad when they say that I’m different, even a little bit strange
Why? Because I have found Him

I waste not time worrying of what others might say
Why? Because I have found Him
Instead, I love all those others, and for all those I'll pray
Why? Because I have found Him

My heart aches for all those, in Him, who are lost
Why? Because I have found Him
I know for their sins also, He paid the cost
Why? Because I have found Him

My soul was made richer when He entered my life
Why? Because I have found Him
He blessed both my daughters, He blessed myself, He blessed my wife
Why? Because I have found Him

I know that He knew me before I was born
Why? Because I have found Him
He planted my seed, apart, we can never be torn
Why? Because I have found Him
